From the First Rehearsal to the Final Bow!

Ready to take the stage? Our 10-Month Theatre Company gives young performers the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be part of a theatre ensemble while working together toward a year-end production!

Running from September through June, this extended program allows students to go beyond a traditional weekly theatre class. Over the course of the year, participants will develop their acting skills, build confidence, explore their creativity, and experience the exciting process of bringing a production from its early stages all the way to the stage.

No previous theatre experience is required! Our Theatre Company is designed to welcome both students stepping onto the stage for the first time and young performers looking for an opportunity to continue developing their skills.

What Students Will Explore

Throughout the year, students will participate in a variety of theatre activities, exercises, and rehearsals designed to strengthen their skills as individual performers and as an ensemble. Depending on the production and needs of the group, students may explore:

  • Acting and performance techniques

  • Character development

  • Improvisation and creative expression

  • Voice, movement, and stage presence

  • Script reading and scene work

  • Blocking and staging

  • Rehearsal etiquette and theatre terminology

  • Collaboration, communication, and ensemble-building

  • Confidence and public-speaking skills

  • The audition, rehearsal and production process

As the program progresses, students will transition from skill-building and exploration into rehearsing their year-end production. Students will be assigned roles and work alongside their castmates to develop characters, learn scenes, rehearse staging, and ultimately bring their production to life.

Our Theatre Company is designed to create a supportive environment where students can take creative risks, discover their strengths, make new connections, and build confidence both on and off the stage.

Because students spend the school year creating and rehearsing together, they also have the opportunity to experience the teamwork and sense of community that comes with being part of a theatre company. Every role contributes to the final production, and every student is an important part of the ensemble.

The Year-End Production

The Theatre Company experience culminates in a year-end production, giving students the opportunity to showcase everything they have worked toward throughout the year.

Rather than preparing for a performance within just a few short weeks, the 10-month format gives students time to develop their skills, become comfortable with their characters, build relationships with their fellow cast members, and experience the rehearsal process at a supportive and age-appropriate pace.

Performance details, including the production, performance date, and other important information, will be shared with participating families as the program progresses.

Program Commitment

Please note that this is a full 10-month program running from September through June. Registration is a commitment to all three terms. Consistent attendance and participation for the full 10 months are essential.

When one cast member is absent or leaves the program partway through the year, it can impact scene work, rehearsals, assigned roles, and the rest of the ensemble. We ask families to carefully consider the full September–June commitment before registering.

We understand that occasional absences due to illness, school commitments, or other circumstances may happen. Our expectation is simply that Theatre Company members are able to make the program a consistent weekly commitment throughout the school year.

Tuition & Payment Options

The total tuition for the full 10-month Theatre Company is $567 + GST. Families may choose from two payment options:

  • Pay in Full: One payment of $567 + GST at the time of registration.

  • Payment Plan: Three payments of $189 + GST, divided at the time of registration (deposit) and two additional payments throughout the school year (Winter 2027 & Spring 2027).
